Daniel Cardoso was born in Montevideo, where he studied painting at a Fine Arts academy and, later, with painters Sergio and Aldo Curto. In Spain he delved into the art of portraiture under the tutelage of the painter Vicente Romero Redondo, which allowed him to practice this discipline in different cities in Europe over the course of ten years, periodically returning to work as a portraitist in ... Punta del Este. He also has a degree in philosophy from the University of the Republic. He has exhibited his work at The Gallery of Graphic Arts in New York, The Pop up Gallery in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the Galería del Ángel in Buenos Aires, the Galería del Café Cultura in the city of Pelotas, Brazil, in the Municipal Subway Hall. of Montevideo, in the Gaucho Museum of that city and in the Genesis Gallery of Punta del Este. In 2013 he was summoned by the House of Representatives of the Republic to make the portrait of Senator Zelmar Michellini, after winning the national contest that the House had arranged to honor him. His participation in different Salons, although very scarce, has given him some distinctions: Ministry of Tourism Award at the XXIV Interior Plastic Artists Salon, honorable mention at the Banco República Centennial Hall, First mention at the Maritime Painting Salon of the Naval Club in 1995, mention at the Salto Municipal Plastic Arts Salon in 1994.
