Vuelvo a recordar los cuentos de hadas, repetidos al infinito por madre y abuelas. Rescato antiguos personajes, caperucitas, princesas y mariposas, para contar nuevas historias con aquello que alimentó la imaginación de mi infancia. Utilizo el papel no como simple soporte mudo, sino como protagonista. Pienso que este material posee un sentido propio, e incide de manera determinante, sobre la ...significación de aquello que produzco con él. Puedo con el papel imprimir, cortar, pegar, plegar; aprovechando las posibilidades de sus texturas, gramajes y tramas; para dar sensaciones de sustento y fragilidad. Descubro en la variedad de sus colores y transparencias, la posibilidad de realizar impresiones apenas vislumbradas, para señalar, dentro de una especial atmósfera, lo efímero y vulnerable. Utilizo también antiguos papeles hallados, reciclándolos y resinificándolos. Aprovecho al calar este material, la profundidad que se adivina a través de los cortes para generar una tercera dimensión, allí donde se produce el juego de las luces y las sombras. Creo con él bosques, jardines secretos, ciudades y profundos mares. Utilizo el papel para crear una geografía diversa de formas orgánicas, de acuerdo a lo que me permito imaginar. I remember the fairy tales, told a thousand times by my mommy and granny, that fed my childhood´s imagination. I rescue ancient characters such as little red riding hood, princesses and butterflies that help me to tell new stories. I use paper not like a mute support, but as a protagonist. I think that this material has its own sense, and affects the works that I make with it. With paper I can ... print, cut, paste, fold; taking advantage of its textures, and grammages to create different shapes and feelings. I also use old paper found, recycle and resignify it. Cutting paper I can see the depth to create a third dimension, where the game of lights and shadows is produced. I use this material to create forests, secret gardens, organic shapes and deep seas.
